Mushroom Men Sprouting On Wii and DS

Following up on last week’s confirmed platforms for Insecticide, Gamecock has now confirmed the platforms for Mushroom Men, its upcoming game of fungal warfare from developer Red Fly Studio. Per today’s announcement, Mushroom Men is officially in development for the Nintendo Wii and DS.

“From the minute we signed Mushroom Men, we’ve worked to bring it to the Wii and DS,” said Rick Stults, Console Chief for Gamecock Media Group. “Both platforms are going to give Mushroom Men a life of their own as Red Fly Studio is building unique stories specific to each system.”

Mushroom Men is currently scheduled to ship in the fall of 2008, so there’s still a long ways to go before you’ll be seeing this sucker on store shelves. Info about the game is still slim at this point, but we do have the following new pieces of artwork that were released with today’s announcement.
