Namco Bandai Rolls Up Golden Katamari

Soon, the King of All Cosmos and his diminutive, Katamari-rolling son the Prince will be back where they belong: on a PlayStation platform!

Namco Bandai today announced that Katamari Forever, the PS3-exclusive fifth chapter in the Katamari series, has gone gold and is on track to ship this September 22nd for $49.99.

So what can you expect from Katamari Forever? Much more of the same unique “roll stuff up” gameplay that has captured gamers’ hearts since the franchise debuted back in 2004, of course, plus a bunch of new goodies including another wacky storyline, remixed Katamari Damacy tunes, swappable graphical filters (Wood Tone, Comic Book, and Classic), true 1080p HD graphics, frantic cooperative and competitive multiplayer fun, and the “largest collection of stages, modes, songs, and cousins to date.”

I haven’t been this excited for a new Katamari game in a LONG time!
