2K Sports has detailed the full soundtrack for NBA 2K8, which hits retail for the PS2, PS3 and 360 next week. Consisting of an eclectic mix of old-school hip-hop and various other genres, NBA 2K8 contains classic tracks from the likes of The Highlighters Band, Ernie and The Topnotes, Billy Ball & The Upsetters, The Fabulous Jades, Run-DMC, Devo, Cut Chemist, Fishbone and Stone Roses, among many others. In addition, Common, Q-Tip, Talib Kweli, and Madlib have collaborated on three exclusive tracks in memory of the late hip-hop producer and MC, J Dilla (aka Jay Dee). 2K’s soundtrack listing for the game doesn’t even mention that track, so not sure what to tell you. It’s been a while since I played 2K8, but I think there’s like a jukebox where you can flip through all the music, so if it’s on the soundtrack it’d be in that.
