Okay, these special edition game packages are starting to get a little out of hand now. Apparently, the Fallout 3 Collector’s Edition just wasn’t enough for Bethesda Softworks. Now they’ve gone off and partnered up with Amazon.com to offer an exclusive third version of the game, the Survival Edition.
For the most part, the Survival Edition is the same as the Collector’s Edition. Both editions share the same core content: a copy of the Fallout 3 game, metal Vault-Tec lunch box, Vault Boy Bobblehead, hardcover art book and “Making of…” DVD. However, the Survival Edition comes with one extra special bonus goody, a Pip-Boy 3000 digital clock. The downside? The Pip-Boy 3000 bumps the retail price up by a hefty fifty bucks! Yep, that’s right. The Fallout 3 Survival Edition runs a steep $129.99 for the PS3 and Xbox 360 versions and $119.99 for the PC. That’s just crazy if you ask me. But hey, if you’re a Fallout diehard and are in need of a new clock you’re probably in heaven right now.
