Geometry Wars: Retro Evolved Mobile Game Modes

Evolved Mobile mode: The main game, where the only goal is to destroy as many enemies as possible to rack up a high score. Nearly identical to the XBLA version, gameplay gets increasingly hectic as foes continue to spawn and new rival types appear as your score multiplier goes up. High scores can be posted to a network leader board and to a local ranking table.

Immortal mode: A kind of practice mode, players are invincible to give newcomers a feel for the game and to find what control set-up works best for them. Life and bomb meters are displayed, but there is no multiplier or score.

Challenge modes: All of the Challenge modes are similar to the Evolved Mobile mode except players are trying to reach a pre-defined objective. A player’s best times or scores for each challenge can be posted on local challenge lists and on the network leader board.

You’ve got only one life, and your ship can’t fire any weapon or use any bombs. See how long you can hold out!

Survivor: Try to get as high a score as possible with only one life.

Monster: With the scoring multiplier always at 10x, try to score as much as possible with the game consistently at its most frantic.

Trenches: Your ship’s movement is disabled in this mode. Try to get a high score while being permanently stuck in the center of the screen.

Speed: Be the fastest to earn scores of 100k, 250k, 500k, 750k, 1M, 2M and 4 million points.

Be the fastest to reach multipliers of 5x and 10x.

Feline: Be the fastest to earn 5 and 9 lives.

Bomber: Be the fastest to earn 5 and 9 bombs.
