Nintendo 3DS early adopters who purchased the gaming handheld and logged into the eShop prior to its August 12th price drop, are now officially members of the Ambassador Program and will soon be receiving 20 free game downloads from the online storefront. Today, the 10 NES Virtual Console game freebies have been finalized, and they include:
– Super Mario Bros.
– Donkey Kong Jr.
– Balloon Fight
– Ice Climber
– The Legend of Zelda
– Metroid
– NES Open Tournament Golf
– Wrecking Crew
– Zelda II – The Adventure of Link
– Yoshi
These 10 games will be available for download to all Ambassadors beginning Thursday, September 1st. They’ll be placed in the transactions list of the “Account Activity” section of the eShop’s “Settings / Other” menu, and you will “redownload” them as if you had already purchased them.
The next round of 10 free games, this batch from the GBA Virtual Console, will roll out later this year. Five games have been confirmed thus far (Yoshi’s Island: Super Mario Advance 3, Mario Kart: Super Circuit, Metroid Fusion, WarioWare, Inc.: Mega Microgame$ and Mario vs. Donkey Kong), with the remaining five still to be determined.
