Nintendo has made the Wii launch window game lineup official, and man is it loaded! By the end of 2006 and within the first five weeks of its launch alone, the Wii will offer an astounding 62 games to choose from: 32 original Wii productions and 30 Virtual Console titles (though the number of games available on day one is still yet to be announced). Now that’s a lot of games, especially considering many console launch periods offer maybe half that amount best case scenario. What’s even more amazing is the anticipated quality of the lineup- it looks like Nintendo is going to have both quality and quantity to back up its new system. But enough chit chat… here’s the official lineup:

On the Virtual Console, NES games will start at 500 Wii Points, SNES games at 800, N64 at 1,000, Sega Genesis at 800 and TurboGrafx16 at 600. Wii Points will be available at retail and online with an MSRP of $20 for 2,000 Wii Points.
