Nintendo Punches Out 120-Game Wii, DS Lineup

PunchOutWii.jpg

Nintendo has outlined its forthcoming Wii and DS game lineups this morning. 120 games from first and third parties are due out across both platforms by the end of June. Sadly, much of that 120 is shovelware, but there are still some quality core titles to look forward to. Leading the pack is the long-awaited Wii Punch-Out!!, which has been given a May 18th launch date today. Also announced today, Excitebots: Trick Racing will continue the tradition of Excitebike and Excite Truck when it ships for Wii on April 20th. And Donkey Kong Jungle Beat is the third old GameCube title to get the New Play Control! Wii-make treatment. It’ll be on store shelves come May 4th.

Not a whole lot of new stuff coming to DS that wasn’t already known about, but there is one game coming that I’m sure many gamers will be pleased as punch to see. The Legendary Starfy is on its way stateside on June 8th — the first game in the series to be released outside Japan!
