One of the things that worried me about the Wii’s shipment was the lack of component cables. Sure, Nintendo had promised that they would be available in retail outlets starting mid December, but was I supposed to live with the crappy composite video stretched all out of proportion on my HDTV until then?
Fortunately Nintendo realized that players want to use the 480p capabilities of the system sooner rather than later and have made the component cables available online at their Nintendo Store. I ordered mine today and paid extra for the shipping in order to get them here by the time I pick up my Wii from the store. The cables themselves cost $29.95, and you can pay a little extra to get them delivered in about two business days. Act quickly though, because Nintendo will run out of these cables soon due to the high demand.
Well, that was quick- the site says they’re already sold out until the 28th lol.
