Now that LocoRoco 2 is launching (it comes out tomorrow), it’s getting to be time for the second half of Sony’s PSP dynamic duo of quirkiness and cheer to take center stage. Of course I’m talking about Patapon 2 here. Sony just released a whole bunch of Patapon 2 goodies through its press site, including a fact sheet outlining all of the game’s new content, some screenshots and box art. As you’ll read, Sony is promising “200%+ more content than the original,” most of which sounds brilliant, such as a new Patapon Hero character you can customize to your style, three more Patapon class types, three more rhythmic battle commands, and multiplayer play with Game Sharing. This is shaping up to be a more feature-rich sequel than I ever imagined!

In a distinct gameplay twist, action and rhythm are intertwined as players utilize drumbeats to march, attack, and defend, ultimately leading the Patapon tribe to victory.
