Phineas and Ferb PS3 Game Ships on Hybrid Blu-ray With Bonus TV Episodes

Upcoming PS3 game Phineas and Ferb: Across the 2nd Dimension, launching August 2nd alongside versions for the DS and Wii, is coming with an extra special exclusive bonus. When players pop the Blu-ray into their PS3 consoles, they’ll find that it is a hybrid disc containing the full game and four full episodes from the Phineas and Ferb cartoon series. Disney Interactive proclaims this to be the first single-disc bundle of a game and TV series.

The four included episodes are: “I Scream, You Scream,” “Mom’s Birthday,” “Dude, We’re Getting the Band Back Together” and “Comet Kermillian.” I’ve watched my fair share of Phineas and Ferb with my niece and nephews, but I don’t know the series well enough to recall episodes by title. But it will definitely be fun to watch these episodes on Blu-ray and actually get a chance to follow what’s going on.

I’m supposed to have a review copy coming in from Disney shortly, so check back around launch for my thoughts on the game and bonus TV episodes. And don’t forget to watch the trailer posted up top for a look at the game in action.
