Pirates of the Burning Sea Pre-Boarding Party Underway, Pricing Structure Detailed

As of January 7th, Sony Online Entertainment and Flying Lab Software have kicked off a special pre-boarding party for their upcoming pirate MMORPG, Pirates of the Burning Sea. Those who pre-order the game — at retail or via digital download — can begin their swashbuckling adventures in advance of the game’s January 22nd launch and build their characters to a level cap of 20. Character progression will then be carried over to the final game software when it launches. Visit the Pre-Boarding Party page for instructions on how to participate.

In other Pirates of the Burning Sea news, SOE has officially set the game’s pricing structure. An initial cost of $49.99 gets you the game, then from there on out you can pay a monthly subscription fee of $14.99 or pay for longer subscription plans in one shot at a slightly discounted rate. A 3-month subscription will cost $41.99, a 6-month subscription will cost $77.99, and a full year subscription will cost $143.

I now send you off with a gallery of the latest screenshots and artwork.
