Let the Plants vs. Zombies multi-platform invasion begin!

PopCap Games announced this morning that iPhone and Xbox Live Arcade adaptations of its mega-hit tower defense game are in the works. The iPhone/iPod touch version is expected to hit the App Store in late 2009. The XBLA version, on the other hand, is without a target launch date at this time, which means it probably won’t be out this year. I’d still love to see a DS adaptation myself. Make it happen, PopCap!

Oh yeah, and the PC and Mac versions of Plants vs. Zombies are now starting to pop up at retailers like Best Buy, Wal-Mart, Target, and Amazon.com. So if you’ve been holding off on the digital download release for a boxed copy, now’s the time to grab this wonderfully addictive game.
