Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare, the Xbox-exclusive (at least initially) spin-off third-person multiplayer shooter from EA and PopCap Games, has been delayed, but don’t worry, it’s only a short one. Instead of February 18th as previously announced late last year, Garden Warfare will now ship a week later on February 25th for Xbox 360 and Xbox One. See, no big deal!
Today’s launch date adjustment news comes alongside the release of a new commentated developer gameplay demo which shows off 11 minutes of the game’s Garden Ops co-op mode. Blending the wave survival of a horde mode with traditional Plants vs. Zombies base defense, Garden Ops will have squads of four players fighting to defend the garden through 10 waves of terror brought on by Dr. Zomboss and his minions of the undead, and then making a mad dash to reach Crazy Dave’s flying RV for extraction in a chaotic 11th and final wave.
