Playdius Entertainment Opens Up Shop With Promising 2017 Indie Lineup

Plug In Digital has announced the formation of a new indie game publishing label called Playdius Entertainment, confirming a strong lineup of titles due for release throughout 2017 across PC, PlayStation 4, Switch, and Xbox One.

“We are gamers and game industry veterans. We want to push forward our commitment towards indie developers.” says Francis Ingrand, CEO at Plug In Digital. “With over 80 titles launched on Steam and more than 18 titles planned for this year on console, our successful experience as independent distributor served as the inspiration that initiated the creation of Playdius Entertainment. This new label dedicated to indies will allow us to go further with them. We want to share our knowledge on the gaming industry, make the studios work more efficiently and accelerate their learning curve. And of course, developers remain the owner of their intellectual property.”

Playdius Entertainment’s initial lineup, as highlighted in the montage trailer viewable below, includes A Normal Lost Phone (it’s already out and I’ll have a review coming up soon), Away: Journey to the Unexpected, Boiling Bolt, Neurovoider, Pankapu (the first episode was fantastic; check out my review), Post Human W.A.R, Strikers Edge, and sU and the Quest for Meaning. More details on each individual game will be provided as additional announcements are made. Stay tuned, indie gamers!
