Nintendo has announced details for the next titles in the Pokémon Mystery Dungeon series. Respectively subtitled Explorers of Time and Explorers of Darkness, the new Mystery Dungeon duo is set to launch side by side on April 20th for the DS. Like the previous Mystery Dungeon titles, Explorers of Time and Darkness will put you directly in control of your favorite Pokémon, with a short personality quiz at the beginning of the games determining which 16 Pokémon (of the games’ nearly 500 total) you’ll be adventuring with. Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection functionality will also be in place this time around, enabling Pokémon pals to team up for online rescue operations and chat via e-mail and mobile texting.
“Only the Pokémon Mystery Dungeon series lets players experience the thrill of actually becoming a Pokémon character,” said Cammie Dunaway, Nintendo of America’s executive vice president of Sales & Marketing. “It’s a unique perspective that delights both longtime Pokémon fans and newcomers alike.”
