Prince of Persia and Splinter Cell Trilogies PS3-Bound in 3D and HD

Apparently, March 22nd has been designated the “Day of the HD Trilogy Remake.” Square Enix has already confirmed that date for the release of the Tomb Raider Trilogy, and now Ubisoft has announced that two PS3 trilogy bundles of its own will ship the same day.

Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell Classic Trilogy HD will come with the original Splinter Cell, Pandora Tomorrow and Chaos Theory on a single Blu-ray disc, and likewise the Prince of Persia Classic Trilogy HD will pull together the HD remakes of The Sands of Time, Warrior Within and The Two Thrones that have already been digitally released through PSN at $15 a pop.

All six games have been remastered in HD and stereoscopic 3D, and both trilogy bundles will retail for $40. Some type of “digital bundle” will also be released on PSN, but specifics haven’t been provided for that yet.
