Are you afraid of your PS3 or Xbox 360 becoming the next victim of a roadside bomb? Or, more realistically, do you want to improve airflow performance to prevent overheating? Or do you simply want to make your slimline console of choice look like its outfitted in bulletproof armor, claymore and smoke grenade strapped to the side? The Battlefield 3 Vault is just the accessory you need!
From EA and Calibur11, the Battlefield 3 Vault is a console shell designed to fit over slim model PS3s and Xbox 360s. The case, available in a fitting smokey tinge, comes complete with a 3-mode LED light up claymore, a smoke grenade imprinted with the DICE logo, and a customizable body that allows for the attachment of additional accessories, such as a controller cradle. The “performance grid” design also promises to increase airflow and system cooling.
If you want one, be prepared to shell out $90 when the Battlefield 3 Vault releases alongside the game on October 25th at www.calibur11.com and all major online retailers. PS3 gamers get the best deal, though, as GameStop is offering a bundle including the case, a copy of Battlefield 3 and a code to download the Physical Warfare DLC pack for only $10 more than the case’s standalone price (that’s $100 total if you don’t feel like doing the math). Customizable nameplates will also be available for $18.
