PSOne Games Playable Via PSP Remote Play? Yes!

Waking up this morning to news of Sony’s latest PS3 and PSP firmware releases, I began to see rumors springing up around the web with gamers claiming the new updates unlocked PSP playback of PSOne discs running on the PS3 via remote play. I just tested it out myself and can confirm that yes, PSP remote play of PSOne games does in fact work! So far, I’ve played a bit of Mega Man Legends, Final Fantasy Tactics and Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver, and all three have worked perfectly on my PSP (well, the controls aren’t quite as responsive, but it’s nothing serious). I’ve posted a couple of pics of Mega Man Legends up and running. My camera sucks, so the photos are kinda blurry, but hopefully you can at least see that the game is playing on the PSP.
