PSP to get ‘installable data’ feature

PSPHyper is reporting on some information from the most recent issue of the Japanese magazine Famitsu. There is various information there regarding the upcoming ‘Final Fantasy Dissidia’ fighting game based on the famous franchise, but the most interesting new discussion concerns what is called ‘Data Install’.

Data Install is also explained, players can choose to install either 245Mb, 373Mb or 528Mb of data to shorten the loading of the game.

So apparently those (of us) who have been taking advantage of all the sweet deals on high capacity memory sticks to fill our PSP’s with multi-GB’s of storage can opt to trade some of that space for faster load times. This dovetails nicely with the increased number of games available for direct download from the PSP store and presents gamers with an excellent set of options.
