QVC-Exclusive PlayStation Move Mega Bundle and Move Demo Disc Content Announced

This Sunday, September 12th, TV shopping network QVC will be selling a special limited edition PlayStation Move bundle as its “Today’s Special Value.” The bundle is scheduled for TV time spots of midnight, 10 AM, and 7 PM EST on the 12th, but while supplies last you can order one at QVC.com or 1.800.345.1515 before the clock strikes midnight on the 13th.

So, what’s in the bundle, you ask? This is what’s in the bundle!

* PS3™ Sports Champions™ Move Bundle — everything a consumer needs to get started with PS3 and PlayStation Move (320GB PS3 system, PlayStation Move motion controller, PlayStation Eye Camera, Sports Champions game, PlayStation Move game demo disc

* PlayStation Move Power Pack — featuring accessories to enhance the gameplay experience for Sports Champions (1 Archery Bow, 1 Sword, 1 Shield, 2 Table Tennis Paddles, a Bocce/Volleyball/Disc-Golf accessory, 2 Silicon Skins for the motion controller, and 2 Wrist Straps)

* PS3 Starter Gaming Bundle — including accessories for the PS3 system (Blu-ray Remote, PS3 system Slim Stand, HDMI Cable, 2 Silicon Skins for the DUALSHOCK® 3 controller, and a System Bag)

* Bonus Software — Ratchet & Clank® Future: Tools of Destruction game and Surf’s Up Blu-ray movie

The total asking price will run approximately $600, so you’re basically looking at $400 for the PS3 Move bundle and an extra $200 for a bunch of accessories (some useless, some handy), an old (but great) game, and an old movie. Decent offer if you’re completely new to the PS3, but it seems like a Navigation controller, a second Move wand, and/or the Move charging station would’ve been more useful bundle additions in place of all the controller skins and Sports Champions accessories. QVC targets a completely different audience from the core gamers, though, so this bundle will likely appeal more to the family audience it’s clearly aimed at.

In other PlayStation Move news today, Sony has also confirmed what comes on the demo disc included with the Sports Champions and PS3 bundles. The bonus Blu-ray disc will feature playable trial versions of 11 different games, including Beat Sketcher, echochrome ii, EyePet, Kung Fu Rider, Sports Champions (not sure why since both bundles already come with the full game), Start the Party!, The Shoot, Tiger Woods PGA Tour 11, Time Crisis: Razing Storm, Tumble and TV Superstars.

That’s a ton of content for a free demo disc, and what’s even cooler is that each demo can be installed to the PS3 HDD and run without the disc. So, feel free to pass it around amongst friends and share the Move love.
