Rayman Origins May Show Up On Wii, PC, iPad and/or 3DS


Episodic platform adventure Rayman Origins has already been confirmed for “HD consoles” — meaning the PS3 and Xbox 360 — but according to a recent update on the game’s official blog, the series is also being considered for other platforms. Other possible platforms include Wii, PC, iPad and even Nintendo’s next handheld, the 3DS. Bring ’em all on — I say the more the merrier!

Episode 1 in the Rayman Origins series has been announced for a Christmas 2010 launch, with an unquantified number of episodes to follow next year. Also in 2011, Ubisoft will make its UBIart Framework open source, giving players access to the “homemade” character and level editing tools being used to create Rayman Origins‘ lush, colorful visuals. So who knows, maybe these remakes aren’t so pie in the sky after all…
