Spoiler Alert!!! Spoiler Alert!!! Spoiler Alert!!!

If you have not completed Red Faction: Guerrilla‘s campaign you may not want to read this. First details, along with new trailer and screenshots, have been released about the game’s upcoming Demons of the Badlands DLC expansion and they will spoil a certain twist that occurs towards the end of the story. Continue reading at your own discretion.

Demons of the Badlands will have you playing through a short prequel campaign set three years before the events of the main game, and you will play as Samanya when she was a Marauder before becoming the Red Faction’s resident weapons inventor/upgrader. The story of the DLC will only span three missions, but for the $9.99/800 MS Points you’ll also gain access to new weapons, vehicles, side missions, environments and trophies/achievements.

Still need to wait and see how it turns out, but from these early details I’m sold. This sounds like the type of game-extending DLC I can get behind!

Demons of the Badlands will be available for download via PSN and Xbox Live on August 13th. Check out the first trailer and a new batch of screens below.
