Regicide Makes Warhammer 40K Plus Chess Look Pretty Damn Awesome

It’s easy to fluff Warhammer 40,000: Regicide off as chess with a fancy coat of paint, but there’s so much more to it than that. Australian developer Hammerfall Publishing has released a first look gameplay video showing how Regicide incorporates the type of special abilities and deeper tactics you would find in traditional strategy RPGs with the fundamental elements of board game chess.

The more I see of this game, the more excited I am to check it out. Fortunately, the wait to play the game won’t be much longer as Warhammer 40,000: Regicide will be available on Steam in Early Access beginning May 5th. Just one more week to go!
