Returning to Rapture: First Look at BioShock 2

Game Informer got the exclusive scoop on BioShock 2 last month in the mag’s April issue, but today 2K Games makes the full game unveil. You know, for those of us who don’t subscribe to GI.

BioShock 2 will be released this fall, this time simultaneously across PC, PS3 and Xbox 360. The game takes place 10 years after the original BioShock as you return to Rapture as the first Big Daddy hunting down a new monster that’s been capturing little girls and taking them to the dilapidated undersea metropolis. As the Big Daddy, you’ll be equipped with the massive drill arm and also be able to dual-fist weapons and Plasmids, and for the first time you’ll actually be able to roam the ocean floor beyond Rapture’s walls. How sweet is that!

Read up on all the official details and check out the first 19 BioShock 2 screenshots on the jump. Earlier in the week, 2K also released some wallpapers (like the one pictured above) and icons over at The Cult of Rapture, so you’ll want to check those out as well.
