Coded Arms – the first one in particular – tried to do ‘run & gun’ with a control set that doesn’t support it.

Resistance Retribution does a good job compensating as well. But my whole thing is that it is always a compromise – it is like talking about DS graphics … you’ll never really be ‘wowed’ by them, it is all relative to your expectations.

Loved Killzone … and also how they handled the DLC stuff.

The DS offers the better FPS controls while the PSP comes with the more impressive graphics and technical benefits. I’m apparently one of the few who doesn’t have any major problems with the PSP for controlling shooters though. While they certainly aren’t ideal with only one analog nub, I’m comfortable with the setup at this point so it just doesn’t hinder the experience for me that much anymore. They aren’t amazing by any means, but I’ve enjoyed the Medal of Honor Heroes and Code Arms games. I would like to see more PSP shooters made like Killzone Liberation though. I think that’s the best way for the PSP to handle the genre.
