Having played a bit of the Wii version I have to agree on your final verdict, though for different reasons. On the Wii the novelty is there since this is the first one on the platform, and it actually looks and plays pretty well. Problem is, the drawing mechanics don’t adapt well to the Wii. Trying to draw stuff with the remote pointer is too imprecise and just not that fun. For this type of game you really need the tactile connection to the experience the stylus provides in the DS version.
The Wii version is also plagued by frequent load screens and some absolutely wretched mini-games.
