It’s actually kind of good timing with Snake hitting Smash Bros. in this iteration. With the hype about MGS4 and the numerous PSP titles focusing around him, it seems like Snake-mania lately.
Yeah, I think the Olympic game is what has the Sonic rumor stirred up, but honestly, I don’t see it being that fake. I mean, it’s like the GH III problem with Dimebag Darrell showing up. Everyone speculates it because of the continually mounting evidence, and yet it’s constantly being said that he’s not in it. Why would a fake interview pop up with it, then all these fan made images with Sonic? Seriously…they need to just say it.
Personally, I would take Rayman over Sonic though.
As for the Animal Crossing creature…what do you mean “who would want it”? How about those millions of addicts that, for reasons I can’t understand, want Animal Crossing represented? LAWL I mean, I just told my brother your thoughts on that, and his only expression was “that would be fucking sweet!”. I mean, total elation over it…so….if there is demand, ya know.
I think Mega Man would be sweet, but honestly, I think that the guy from Ghosts n Goblins would be WAY cooler. He could fight in his boxers…that would make it sweet…or even start in his armor, and as the dmg to him increases, he slowly goes to his boxers! LOL THAT WOULD BE AWESOME!
Honestly, though…that’s my only request.
]]>It seems logical that it would happen- fans want it real bad, and Mario and Sonic are already coming together in that Wii/DS Olympic game later this year, but who knows.
Reading around, most people seem to think that lower right image is a character from Animal Crossing, which seems about right when I look at it. But that would be further evidence to me that it’s a fake. Seriously, who would want to play as a stupid Animal Crossing character in Brawl?
And yeah, I’m sure there’s plenty of issues keeping Capcom and Nintendo coming together to put Mega Man in a Smash game. Mega Man has built up its name on Nintendo platforms though, so it would be a great fit. Kojima really wanted Snake in Brawl, so that’s why that happened. Supposedly he actually wanted Snake in Melee on the GameCube, but didn’t present the idea in time to make it happen at that point.
Man, there are so many rumors and character ideas to discuss about Brawl, could talk about it forever lol.
]]>Regardless, with the exclusivity of Raving Rabbids being for Nintendo now, Rayman would be an absolutely PERFECT choice for the Smash Bros. franchise! As for Sonic, hell…why not? He’s Sonic, and with Sega’s success so far on the Wii with Sonic and the Secret Rings (actually a fun game) and the exclusive Sonic RPG being developed for the DS by Bioware, it’s not impossible for him to show up either.
As for Mega Man…hey, if they can put Solid Snake in, I don’t see why you can’t get Mega Man in the game as well. However, I think there might be a problem with that and a potential that Capcom might do future iterations of Marvel vs Capcom. Not sure, though.
]]>I think there could be some validity to those new characters being in the game, but that mock box art looks fake to me. Stuff like that can be photoshopped easy. I don’t think if those surprise characters were in the game that they’d be on the box either- seems like they’d be special unlockable characters, so I don’t think they’d just be given away like that. Hopefully they will make it in there, especially Rayman and Sonic (Birdo doesn’t sound like a very thrilling addition to me though). I just want to see Mega Man in a Smash Bros. man, he’d fit in so perfectly.
