Samba De Amigo Shakes Again

Great news, folks. Samba De Amigo is coming back for more maraca-shakin’ good times! Sega has announced today that the music game classic from the Dreamcast is getting a new Wii-exclusive release groovin’ with Wii Remote and Nunchuk-based maraca-shaking rhythm gameplay, a soundtrack of both new songs and old favorites from the original, and a variety of special features not ready to be revealed at this time. Gearbox Software is heading up the development on the new Wii Samba De Amigo, with a current release schedule set for spring 2008. I’ll keep you posted as any new info or media comes my way.

“The Wii’s controllers enable players to enjoy Samba De Amigo’s unique gameplay without having to purchase an expensive peripheral,” said Rick Naylor, Director of Marketing at SEGA. “Between the music, the quirky art style, and the maraca-shaking players, Samba De Amigo is as much fun to watch as it is to play.”
