Sherlock Holmes versus Arsène Lupin Announced

The world’s greatest detective and the world’s greatest thief are getting ready to match wits later this year in a newly announced PC game from Focus Home Interactive and Frogwares called Sherlock Holmes versus Arsène Lupin.

Following up on the success of Sherlock Holmes: The Awakened, Sherlock Holmes versus Arsène Lupin will bring together two famous characters from detective literature and square them off in a fully 3D adventure set in 19th Century London. In the game, French burglar Arsène Lupin challenges renowned detective Sherlock Holmes to stop him from stealing five high-value objects over the course of five days from real-life locations such as Buckingham Palace, the Tower of London and the National Gallery. It’ll be interesting to see if this setup will involve some sort of dual play mechanic or maybe two campaigns showing each character’s side of the story, but exact details to that effect haven’t been provided at this time. We do have the first gameplay screens to share with you for now though, have a look:
