The ’09 PSP game lineup gets yet another boost with Sony introducing SOCOM: U.S. Navy SEALs Fireteam Bravo 3 this week. Details are few, but here’s what’s been confirmed so far:
– Slant Six is developing the game.
– In the game you will lead a covert operation to capture and interrogate a former KGB agent who has vital information concerning a planned WMD terrorist attack.
– The game will offer online play, voice chat, leaderboards and medal rewards.
Yep, that’s it. Not even a general release date has been given. But really, what more do you really need to know. It’s a new SOCOM game for PSP, ’nuff said.
Sony did at least release this SOCOM-tastic Fireteam Bravo 3 unveil trailer though. Check it out.

Looks good, I was just going to do some replay on SOCOM Tactical Strike for PSP … really enjoyed all of the PSP entries.
I missed Tactical Strike but have been meaning to check it out. How do you like it compared to the Fireteam Bravo games? Isn’t it more like a Full Spectrum Warrior strategy game than a shooter?

I prefer the SOCOM shooters, but Tactical Strike does tactical shooter pretty well. It got average reviews, but if you forgive it a bit then you will be satisfied. It is cheap now (I just ordered a second copy for my older son for <$10 shipped on eBay) and worth a shot ... if you have the time and/or inclination, which is tough!
