Sony Slams the Brakes on Gran Turismo 5’s Launch…Again

Anyone keeping track of how many times Gran Turismo 5 has been delayed? Well, add one more to the tally, because today Sony announced that the ballyhooed PS3 racing sim, inching closer and closer to vaporware status with each passing day, has been delayed yet again.

This delay stings the most too considering the game’s intended release date of November 2nd was only weeks away and two other big PS3 exclusives — LittleBigPlanet 2 and SOCOM 4 — were also recently delayed. The good news is that, for now at least, this latest delay doesn’t sound like it will be that long. The bad news is that Sony has not yet committed to a specific ship date, only stating that the game will be out sometime this holiday season. Whenever a release is left vague like that you just have to worry.
