Ubisoft continues to show its third-party loyalty to Nintendo, today confirming that Splinter Cell: Blacklist, previously announced only for PC, PS3 and Xbox 360, is also coming to the Wii U console.

Sam Fisher will be showcasing his sneaky black ops skills on Wii U this August 20th, the same ship date as the other platforms. He’ll also have a few new tricks up his sleeve thanks to the GamePad controller, which will be used to execute Killing in Motion attacks, manage inventory, and operate the various gadgets and gizmos of a master spy.

The screenshot below gives the example of controlling the snake camera. When Sam slips the camera under a door, the snake view will appear on the GamePad, just as it would using the real-life spy tool. Tilting the GamePad will also provide motion-controlled camera movement, while a finger tap on the touchscreen will allow players to mark/unmark targets.
