SporeCreatureCreator.jpg While the full version of Spore is still a few months away, today you can start getting a taste of what the game will be all about with the release of the Spore Creature Creator, a toolset designed for early experimentation with the game’s incredible creature creation process. The Spore Creature Creator is available in two forms for PC and Mac users. For $9.99 you can pick up the full Creature Creator in physical form at retailers or as a digital download via EA’s online store. A trial demo version is also available with 25% of the creation tools to tinker around with.

“Today is the day we begin to see Spore come to life,” said Executive Producer and General Manager of Maxis, Lucy Bradshaw. “We’re excited to see what players will do with the powerful and intuitive creativity tools we’ve put into the Spore Creature Creator. Our team will be excitedly keeping an eye on the Sporepedia to check out creations made by players from around the world.”
