I’ve always been a bit of a Square Enix fanboy, and as such I always get a kick out of seeing the box art they come up with for their games — games that remain in my personal collection nine times out of ten. So when I stumbled upon final cover shots for Square Enix’s four upcoming PSP heavy-hitters while randomly snooping about the publisher’s press site tonight, you can only imagine my excitement as I anxiously downloaded away.
If you too delight in such simple things, click through this gallery containing the beautifully contrasting cover artworks for The 3rd Birthday, Dissidia 012[duodecim] Final Fantasy, Final Fantasy IV: The Complete Collection and Tactics Ogre: Let Us Cling Together. Just don’t ask me to pick a favorite, because I just can’t do it!

Matt is a fair-minded reviewer and lover of games of all platforms and types, big or small, hyped or niche, big-budget or indie. But that doesn't mean he will let poor games slide without a good thrashing when necessary!
It is interesting, because I am of a generation that grew up with the ‘great album art’ I am supposed to care about such things … but ultimately for me music is about music, and games are about games. I wouldn’t care if every game had a plain black & white wrapper with the title and genre/rating on front, and two small screens and a 5 bullet feature list with system requirements on the back. 🙂
