Square Enix drops luxurious collector’s editions overseas all the time, but not so much here in North America. For a change, that won’t be the case with Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance.

Living it up for the Kingdom Hearts 10th anniversary, Square Enix has announced the Mark of Mastery Edition for Kingdom Hearts 3D, launching July 31st for Nintendo 3DS. If you haven’t been keeping tabs, this is the first collector’s edition in franchise history to be released in the North American market. What the hell took so long, Squenix?

Priced at $55, $15 more than the standard edition, the Mark of Mastery box set will include a branded protector case for the Nintendo 3DS system, a set of 12 art cards, and five augmented reality cards that will unlock rare Dream Eaters and a virtual 360° character model viewing stand. All these goodies will be tucked away inside a magnetic box. Very nice!
