Well, so much for Gun Loco getting Kinect support. Square Enix’s big announcement for the Xbox 360-exclusive sprint-action shooter came today as scheduled, but it has nothing to do with the teased addition of motion controls.
Instead, Square Enix used today to announce a contest searching for budding vocalists to sing the title track to one of the game’s stages. Squenix provides the base music and lyric sheet, and simply asks that you make it your own. Record your version of the title track in .MP3, .AVI or .MOV format and submit for your chance to win.
One grand prize winner will win a trip for two to LA to have their version of the song professional recorded to be featured in the game, an Xbox 360 console, a copy of the game and a 12-month Xbox Live Gold membership. All contestants who enter will also receive 50 Points and Avatar gear for their Square Enix Members profile.
The submission form will become available on September 9th, with the submission deadline set for October 4th. Click here to learn more — you do need to be a Square Enix Member to access the contest details and enter.

Anyway, will you be giving away Scott Pilgrim vs. The World PSN code? I’ve been trying to win one so bad 🙁
Why don’t they just get an American Idol reject?
