Steal a Glance at this Sneaky-Good Thief Gameplay Trailer

Thief

There seems to be growing concern over the direction Eidos-Montréal is taking its Thief reboot in compared to the original games, but from the shadowy corner where I’m sitting the game is looking pretty gosh darn impressive. Based on the first official gameplay trailer which just dropped today, modern day Thief–in development for PC, PS3, PS4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One–appears to have its priorities straight, focusing more on stealth, stealing and evasion than action.

Here’s a quick synopsis of the trailer before diving in:

Get your first in-game look at Garrett’s hideout, the dark alleys of the City, and your old friend and fence Basso. See all the pillars of Thief gameplay in action – Infiltration, Theft and Escape – as Garrett enters Baron Northcrest’s manor to steal the Heart of the Lion before making his escape.
