Steam Celebrates the Coming of Spring with Indie Game Discounts

It wouldn’t officially be spring without a seasonal game sale on Steam. The Spring Indie Sale, running March 21-29, is a celebration of past Independent Games Festival award winners and finalists, along with hundreds of other indies you can now buy for discounts as high as 80% off.

Dedicated shop sections are open for Independent Games Festival honorees as well as games that will be featured at PAX East starting tomorrow. Or you can hit up the main promo page and begin your hunt through the massive sale list for too-good-to-pass-up bargains.

After a quick browse so far, Deadlight and the A Valley Without Wind 1 and 2 combo pack have caught my eye at just $3.74 each. $4.99 for Waking Mars is tempting too, as I’ve been curious to try that game out since it first appeared as a Greenlight candidate. I’m sure there are plenty of other deals I’ll get lured into, though I’m going to attempt to spare my Paypal wallet from another indie shopping spree after spending so much during last year’s summer and holiday sales. Wish me luck!
