Steam’s Early Holiday Sale at the end of November offered some great daily deals, but it was nothing compared to the full-on Steam Holiday Sale, running now through January 3rd. Yep, Valve kicked off its Steam sale early this year to help out last-minute shoppers looking to gift games to their gaming loved ones!
The Steam Holiday Sale offers savings of up to 80% on select titles in addition to daily and weekly specials. A couple stand-out daily deals currently available include S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Shadow of Chernobyl for $1.99, Defense Grid: The Awakening for $2.49 and Mirror’s Edge for $4.99. There are also some amazing deals on indie games like Trine ($7.99), Braid ($2.49) and Machinarium ($9.99), along with broad publisher catalog price slashes, including a special on the Eidos Collector’s Pack that made my jaw drop when I saw it — it comes with 19 games, including the likes of Batman: Arkham Asylum, Deus Ex, Kane & Lynch, Rogue Trooper, Thief, Tomb Raider: Underworld and Mini Ninjas, all for only $49.99. That’s a savings of over $200, and a solid collection of games to boot.

Yeah – I grabbed the Eidos pack … own a lot of the games, but the combination of digital download and the price … unbeatable!
