Super Paper Mario Jumps to Wii

Super Paper MarioAlthough we’ve known this was coming for a while, Nintendo has made the official announcement today that Super Paper Mario is indeed heading to the Wii instead of its originally announced GameCube destination. Details on how the game will make use of the Wii’s motion-sensing controls haven’t been revealed yet, however Nintendo states that SPM will blend 2D and 3D perspectives and platforming and RPG play styles into one experience like never before, all spanning eight worlds with multiple playable characters including Mario, Peach and Bowser. Nintendo has also locked down an official release date today, setting Super Paper Mario lose on the Wii on April 9th.
