Now this is a very odd bit of promo material. Ignition Entertainment sent over a copy of its new DS adventure game Lux-Pain for review, and with it was a pack of Larvets, real “worm snax” coated with a tasty cheddar cheese flavoring…yum! A note was also provided saying “we would “Larvet” if you would cover Lux-Pain!” Hahah…get it? Not up on my Lux-Pain knowledge, but according to the blurb on the back of the box it’s about a Silent worm that has infected citizens of Kisaragi City, causing them to commit violent crimes, so I guess that’s where the tie-in with the worm snax comes in. Interesting…
Wanna know what makes Larvets so enjoyable? Here are five reasons:
5. You’ll give people something new to say about California besides that it’s the state of fruit and nuts!
4. Your entomologist friends will think you’ve learned how to cook.
3. “Tastes like chicken” will have new meaning.
2. You don’t have to drink a whole bottle of mezcal to get to the worm!
1. BBQ, Cheddar Cheese, & Mexican Spice Larvets make great party food!
Oh and by the way, retail copies of Lux-Pain also include an art book as a pack-in freebie. A few pics I snapped of that are below. Will let you know what the game is all about soon.
