BlazBlue: Continuum Shift II, an enhanced version of the original Continuum Shift first released in arcades before getting PS3 and Xbox 360 console ports last year, is due for a simultaneous portable launch on Nintendo 3DS and PSP on May 31st. An update for the console versions is also scheduled for May release, bringing PS3 and Xbox 360 players up to date with the Continuum Shift II changes.

As for Continuum Shift II on 3DS and PSP, it’ll feature all the original content of Arc System Works’ popular 2D fighting game, including Arcade, Story Attack, Training, and Story modes, the full roster of 18 characters (plus DLC characters Makoto, Valkenhayn, and Platinum), and all of the new mechanics and balance revisions introduced in the latest arcade update.

In addition, both ports will contain exclusive new story content and modes designed specifically for the handheld release. Ad-hoc network support will also be available for local multiplayer battles for up to four players. And of course, the 3DS version will have the added bonus of 3D depth control to give the 2D fighting action a little extra visual pop.
