Going the way of Patapon 2 and surely many other niche titles, NIS America’s quirky PSP strategy game Holy Invasion of Privacy, Badman! What Did I Do to Deserve This? will now be released exclusively via PSN download this July 16th, with NIS officially nixing its original plans for a UMD retail release. According to NIS, this decision was made in large part due to the surprisingly strong download rate and favorable reception of the PSN demo, but also as a way to get the game to consumers at a cheaper price (it’ll now cost only $19.99) without fighting a losing battle for space on store shelves. Makes sense to me!
I’ll have a review of the game going up closer to launch time — ironically, I have an early review copy of the game on UMD! — but until then enjoy the two gameplay videos posted after the break. It’s a fairly tough game to describe, so you’ll want to watch the footage and/or go download the demo.
