NIS America is now taking pre-orders for Disgaea 3: Absence of Justice over at the RosenQueen store. Disgaea‘s PS3 debut, due out some time in late August, is available in three packages: the Alma Mater, Delinquent Pride, and Honor Student sets.

At $49.99, the Alma Mater Set is the lowest end bundle and it comes with the game, that bonus soundtrack CD NIS held a fan vote for, and a Japanese Disgaea 3: Absence of Justice Main Theme CD containing three songs from each game in the Disgaea series. The next step up from that is the $70 Delinquent Pride Set which comes with both aforementioned soundtrack CDs. And then at the very top of the pricing ladder is the deluxe $90 Honor Student which includes the bonus soundtracks and strategy guide in addition to a digital media disc containing 700+ images (screenshots, concept art, storyboards, etc.), a one of three randomly chosen pack-in items: either the full 2-disc Disgaea 3 soundtrack, a 36-page art book, or a school flag.

Also note that if you decide to skip these sets and instead pre-order at a game retailer near you, you will get the custom, fan-created soundtrack CD as a bonus. All of the other items are only available for pre-orders made through RosenQueen.

Atlus USA has announced today that it has signed on to be the exclusive North American distributor of three top NIS America titles including Disgaea 3: Absence of Justice, Disgaea DS, and Rhapsody: A Musical Adventure. Atlus has helped distribute numerous titles for NIS in the past, so this is merely a continuation of an already prosperous partnership.

Release dates and prices have now also been officially locked in for all three titles. Disgaea 3 will ship August 26th for $49.99, while Disgaea DS and Rhapsody: A Musical Adventure will hold hands into retail on September 23rd for $29.99 apiece.

Disgaea fans gather ’round, NIS America wants YOU to help customize the bonus pre-order soundtrack for Disgaea 3: Absence of Justice, the cult strategy-RPG series’ debut PS3 installment due out this August. Between now and July 7th, NIS is holding a vote-off asking fans to each choose their favorite 15 songs they’d like to see added to the soundtrack, and then even help pick the soundtrack’s cover art. There are two cover art choices and something like 50+ songs to choose from spanning all three games in the series — Disgaea: Afternoon of Darkness, Disgaea 2: Cursed Memories, and Disgaea 3: Absence of Justice — and you can pick five songs total from each game. The soundtrack voting form actually provides brief preview snippets of each available song choice too, making the selection process that much easier to complete.
