Want to make a name for yourself as the next great up and coming music producer and/or MC? This is your chance!
2K Sports, in collaboration with Duck Down Music, is in search of talented artists to produce a feature track in the official soundtrack for NBA 2K12. The contest consists of two phases. In phase one, aspiring producers must submit a sample-free instrumental track. Then, in phase two, MC contestants will enter by singing/rapping over the winning producer’s instrumental. During both phases, 2K and Duck Down will choose 10 finalists, after which an online fan vote will be held to determine the winner for each category.
In addition to getting their music in the game, the two Grand Prize winners will each receive an all-expense paid trip to New York City and the opportunity to perform their winning song live at Duck Down’s CMJ Showcase this October. The top 10 finalists of each phase will also take home $700 worth of SoundCloud premium accounts.
