Japanese hobby product manufacturer Good Smile is set to release a pair of action figures modeled after Nintendo mascot icons Link, as seen in Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword, and Samus Aran, as she appeared in Metroid: Other M.

As part of the figma product line, the Link and Samus figures each come with display stands, multiple accessories, interchangeable body components and smooth, flexible joints for customizable posing.

Link is armed with his trusty Master Sword and Hylian Shield as well as two facial expressions, including his usual gallant look and a combat shout.

Samus Aran comes with five different hand pieces, two beam effects, a missile cannon attachment, and a Morph Ball.

The Link and Samus Aran figma action figures are slated for release this September priced at $44.95 each. U.S. video game and anime shop eStarland has both figures available for import pre-order right now at the following links. So, who’s buying?

eStarland’s ‘Fun for Under $15’ Sale http://www.vgblogger.com/estarlands-fun-for-under-15-sale/10072/ Thu, 23 Jun 2011 21:19:06 +0000 http://www.vgblogger.com/?p=10072 GreatFunUnder15.jpg

Frugal game shoppers take notice: eStarland is running another amazing video game sale this week that you don’t want to miss.

Through Sunday, June 26th, you can snag yourself a bunch of great games, all priced below $15 for a limited time and while supplies last. You really can’t go wrong with any of the games currently on sale (except for Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: The Crystal Bearersthat game sucked), but my personal recommendations are BioShock 2, Enslaved, Resident Evil: The Umbrella Chronicles, Sacred 2, Okami Wii and the Forza Motorsport 3 / Alan Wake combo pack. While questionable buys at full price, other games, like Call of Juarez: Bound in Blood, Ghost Squad, Red Steel 2 and Sengoku Basara: Samurai Heroes, are also well worth a look at such a discounted rate.

Check those deals out, and also remember to bookmark the sale page because more games will be added to the list as the promotion continues through the weekend. So, see anything you plan to pick up?

Kirby Plushies, Get Your Kirby Plushies! http://www.vgblogger.com/kirby-plushies-get-your-kirby-plushies/9715/ Mon, 30 May 2011 20:32:04 +0000 http://www.vgblogger.com/?p=9715
KirbyPlushies.jpg

Completely unrelated to the ongoing Memorial Day sale, eStarland.com recently got in a shipment of freshly imported Kirby plushies, and trust me, they are too damn adorable to pass up.

Nintendo’s fluffy, pink mascot is available in 12 different plushie forms, ranging in size and price from 4″ ($9.50) to 6″ ($19.50) to 10″ ($29.95). Unfortunately, the 4″ versions have already sold out, but only temporarily. I’m eyeballing the Kirby as Link plushie as soon as it’s back in stock, and perhaps the 6″ Meta Knight as well. Then I can secretly put on plushie battles in my bedroom when no one’s looking. Oh wait…forget I said that. Move along, people. Nothing to see here…

Available varieties include the following. Go ahead and buy one for yourself. Or maybe two. Or three. Or…OK, you get the point!

Kirby 4″ Plush (Regular)
Kirby 4″ Plush (Riding a Star)
Kirby 4″ Plush (as Ness)
Kirby 4″ Plush (as Link)
Kirby 6″ Plush (Regular)
Kirby 6″ Plush (Waddle Dee)
Kirby 6″ Plush (Kirby Katta)
Kirby 6″ Plush (Sword Kirby)
Kirby 6″ Plush (Miller Kirby)
Kirby 6″ Plush (Meta Knight)
Kirby 10″ Plush (Sitting Kirby)
Kirby 10″ Plush (Standing Kirby)

PS3 owners are a bit down in the dumps right now amidst all the PSN outage hoopla, but Sackboy is here to cheer everyone up!

The LittleBigPlanet 2 Collector’s Edition — the cutest, cuddliest damn collector’s edition package you’re ever going to find — is on sale for as cheap as it’s ever been (at least that I’ve seen), thanks to eStarland. For a limited time, you can get the LittleBigPlanet 2 game, an adorable Sackboy plushie, an amazing set of game ends (AKA bookends), and gobs of bonus DLC for the new low price of $69.95. That’s just $10 more than the price of the standard edition game by itself!

Hop on over to eStarland.com and take advantage of this deal before this limited edition collectible is gone for good. Simply plug in coupon code SACKBOY at checkout to apply the discount. I bought one at launch and love it to pieces. The game itself is also pretty damn brilliant, if you haven’t played it yet.

Do you prefer to repair your own broken consoles and games rather than replacing them or having someone else do all the fixing, or do you enjoy modding or tinkering around with your favorite gaming systems? Then this tool kit is for you!

Video game and anime retailer eStarland has released a 30-in-1 screwdriver set, and for $22 it comes with all the tools you need to do a little DIY work on most consoles, handhelds, and older game cartridges, including the NES, SNES, GBA, N64, GameCube, DS, DS Lite, Wii, GameGear, Genesis, Saturn, Dreamcast, Xbox, Xbox 360, PS1, PS2, PS3 and PSP.

More specifically, the video game tool kit comes with a ratchet screwdriver handle, a 1/4″ extender, and 27 different bits for Phillips, Slotted, Torx, Hex and Triangle screws, in addition to bits for certain proprietary screws.

eStarland also sells individual parts for many different systems, in addition to their in-house repair services, so look them up if you have any DIY gaming repairs to do.
