Taking a page out of the EA Sports Madden NFL playbook, Activision and developer Eutechnyx are using a fan-vote tournament bracket to crown the cover driver for NASCAR The Game: Inside Line, which is scheduled to cross the retail finish line this fall for PS3, Wii and Xbox 360. Race over to NASCARTheGame.com/Vote to pick your favorites in the opening round consisting of 32 competing drivers. You can vote once per day so check the bracket regularly to help your favorite driver win the cover star championship.

Here’s how the tournament schedule breaks down:

MAY 24 – Voting Opens (32 drivers)
JUNE 10 – First Round Closes (16 drivers)
JUNE 17 – Second Round Closes (8 drivers)
JUNE 24 – Third Round Closes (4 drivers)
JUNE 30 – Fourth Round Closes (2 drivers)
JULY 15 – Final Round Closes (Champion)

NASCAR The Game 2011 DLC Trailer

Activision and Eutechnyx have released a major DLC update for NASCAR The Game 2011, available now on PS3 and Xbox 360. The DLC comes with many new features, including the full 2011 race schedule in Career Mode with updated Sprint Cup Series point system, new races and resurfaced tracks, over 60 new paint schemes, upgraded damage modeling, and online hardcore mode.

For PS3 racers, the DLC is a free download as part of game Patch 2. On Xbox 360, the DLC will run you 160 Microsoft Points.
