Lots of Tekken 6 news in from Namco Bandai this afternoon. First and most important, the game has an official ship date. Tekken 6 is scheduled for US release for PS3 and Xbox 360 on October 27th — launches in Europe, Japan and Asia will come “shortly thereafter.” No date yet for the PSP version other than sometime in the fall.
If you’d like to reserve a console copy of the game in advance, zip over to GameStop and your pre-order will come with exclusive goodies including a 2009-2010 Tekken 6 calendar and a special voucher card unlocking DLC designed by Penny Arcade. The DLC is a “Samurai Pack” containing a “Cardboard Tube Samurai” outfit for Yoshimitsu and a collection of Samurai Battle Banners to attach to any fighter you choose.
And finally, launching alongside the game this October will be a limited edition Fight Stick Bundle containing a copy of Tekken 6, a wireless fight stick built by HORI and a classy art book. It’ll set you back $150.
