The full song list for the NBA 2K15 soundtrack, produced by Pharrell Williams, has been revealed. Surprisingly, the singer-songwriter did not choose his latest hit “Happy” for the soundtrack (although he did pick four of his other tracks). That’s fine by me, as I’m all “Happy”-ied out at this point. Unfortunately, his choice of songs overall makes for one of the weaker NBA 2K soundtracks I can remember.

This new teaser trailer for NBA 2K15 is 30 seconds long, but between intro logos and the outro splash screen there’s only around 10 seconds of actual footage from the game, which is just enough time to watch cover star Kevin Durant dribble up the court and posterize Andre Iguodala with a nasty crossover dunkface. Also pay close attention for a peek at this season’s new crowd elements, including fans waving giant Kevin Durant Fatheads. That’s some sneaky in-game marketing for you.

A day after being crowned NBA league MVP for the 2014 season and giving one of the most emotional speeches you’ll ever see from an athlete, Oklahoma City Thunder superstar forward, Kevin Durant, has been announced as the cover athlete for NBA 2K15.

Durant is no stranger to the cover athlete gig. Once upon a time, the four-time NBA scoring champ graced the cover of NBA 2K13 as part of a “Big Three” team also including Blake Griffin and Derrick Rose. NBA 2K15, however, will be Durant’s debut as a solo cover athlete.

“I’m honored to be selected for the cover of NBA 2K,” said Durant, who is currently leading the Oklahoma City Thunder against Los Angeles Clippers during this year’s NBA Playoffs. “I’ve been an avid fan and player of NBA 2K since I was a kid, and being selected as the sole cover athlete of NBA 2K15 is an amazing accomplishment at this point of my life. I feel like my time has come.”

NBA superstars and former Rookie of the Year award winners Kevin Durant, Blake Griffin and Derrick Rose have been named joint cover athletes for NBA 2K13, taking the torch passed on by all-timers Michael Jordan, Magic Johnson and Larry Bird to establish a “New Dynasty” of NBA legends.

Here’s what the new cover star teammates are saying about the deal:

”Being crowned as one of the NBA 2K13 cover athletes is a huge honor and something I always dreamt about,” said Durant, who won his third straight scoring title and led the Thunder franchise to their first NBA Finals appearance since 1996. “It’s definitely humbling to grace the cover after the likes of Michael Jordan, Magic Johnson, and Larry Bird.”

“There’s so much young talent around the NBA, so it’s very exciting to be chosen for NBA 2K’s ‘New Dynasty’ alongside Kevin and Derrick,” added Griffin, who helped lead the Clippers to their first postseason since 2006. “The NBA 2K series has always been my first choice when I want to get a game in.”

“It’s a dream come true to be one of the cover athletes for NBA 2K13,” commented Rose, the 2010-11 NBA Most Valuable Player, who led the Bulls to a league-best 50-16 record this season. “I’ve worked closely with 2K Sports since NBA 2K10, and I’m honored to follow in the footsteps of Michael Jordan as the latest Chicago Bull to be featured on the cover.”

NBA 2K13 launches October 2nd for PS3, Xbox 360, Wii, PC and PSP. A Wii U version is also in development for release later in the holiday season.
